Fit-to-Dive - Diving Medicals We are pleased to advice that we can now offer Diving Medicals at the practice.
Designed to help intending parents enjoy a healthy pregnancy and to give the baby the best possible start, the consultation includes both advice and discussions with your doctor as well as some physical examinations if warranted. A complimentary ‘pregnancy pack’ is also part of the health check consultation. These new services are now part of our full range of preventative care services which include
Shared Antenatal Care We love looking after our pregnant women. Our doctors are involved in caring for women through pregnancy in conjunction with the hospital or obstetrician. Each consultation occurs approximately every month once the woman has been assessed by the hospital or obstetrician as being suitable for this style of care. Cervical Cancer Vaccinations The new vaccine against cervical cancer is now available and the government is providing it free of charge to all females aged between 12 and 26 years of age. Fact Sheets As a service to our patients we have developed a number of Fact Sheets on important medical matters. These include Flu Vaccination, Childhood Immunisation, Cervical Cancer Vaccinations and our Program for Prevention. Our Reception staff will be happy to provide you with copies. Facts about... Flu Vaccinations Flu Vaccinations are available for our existing patients without having to make an appointment. Ask for Rose Watts, our Nurse Manager when you come to the practice and she will look after you. The vaccine is available to all ages and free to those aged 65 years and over (a fee appplies for the nurse to administer the vaccine). New Faces on the Medical Team From time to time you will see new doctors at the practice. Some will join the practice on a permanent basis, others will be with us temporarily either to relieve our principal doctors when they are away or to help out during busy times. However, you can rest assured that all the doctors who join us have been selected because their values mirror those of the practice when in comes to patient care. In particular, like our principal doctors, they believe in the importance of listening to their patients and taking the time to explain medical matters thoroughly. Our aim has always been to ensure that none of our patients feel rushed during a consultation and that they come away feeling confident in their doctor and happy with their visit to the prarctice. |
