DR TONY ANDREW MB BS (Syd) FRACGP MBA Principal 'I enjoy being at the frontline of healthcare, the variety in general practice is fascinating. Recent medical developments give us the opportunity to assist patients in ways we have never been able to before.’ Principal of Cremorne Medical Practice (CMP) since its establishment in 1976, Tony has many years of GP experience. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice, including men’s health, preventative care and geriatrics. His commitment to the profession is reflected in his long association with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. As well as serving for many years as an examiner for the College Fellowship degree, Tony has been Chairman of the NSW Practice Management Committee and National Chairman of the Public Relations Committee. From time to time he is involved with remedial training for GPs for the NSW Medical Board. In 1996, Tony (and four others) established a company that provides accreditation for General Practice. In his accreditation capacity, Tony has visited more than 150 practices around the country as a surveyor. Tony has five daughters, enjoys playing golf and travelling. |

DR ALANNA HORADAM MB BS (Syd) DRANZCOG FRACGP Dip. FPA Principal ‘Integrity, thoroughness, treating patients with dignity and taking responsibility for outcomes are our core principles.’ Alanna graduated from the University of Sydney in 1982 and in 1984 joined the Family Medicine Program (FMP) for General Practitioners and worked in Mudgee. She gained her Family Planning Diploma and then continued her training as Paediatric Registrar at Prince of Wales Children’s Hospital. As part of her next FMP traineeship term, Alanna worked with us here at Cremorne in 1985 before gaining her Postgraduate Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1986. Prior to joining CMP in 2000, Alanna was a member of a group practice in Bathurst where she practiced as a GP Obstetrician for several years. She is an accredited Shared Care Provider and regularly gives talks at the Early Childhood Centres in Cremorne and Crows Nest. As a change from General Practice she frequently does surgical assisting at the Mater Hospital. Alanna is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is an examiner for the College degree. She is also an examiner for the Royal Australian & NZ College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, and is a member of the College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Alanna has two children Jack and Eleanor, and manages to find time to play the violin in the Australian Doctors’ Orchestra as well as the NSW Doctors’ Orchestra. In her spare time she also enjoys bushwalking, pump classes and travelling. |

DR MARGARET HAMILTON MB BS (Syd) DCH Principal ‘To me a key part of any consultation is listening. Not rushing the patient, but taking time to listen.’ After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1979, Margaret completed three years further training at Royal North Shore Hospital, the Mater Hospital and Gosford District Hospital. Her experience in these positions included senior terms in Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry and Gynaecology. She then traveled to England where she worked for 2 years at St Stephens Hospital in London. After returning to Sydney, Margaret worked in general practice and at the Commonwealth Department of Health where she was involved in Immigration Medical Assessments. Margaret gained her Diploma of Child Health at The Children’s Hospital in 1994 and went on to work in a number of General Practices in Sydney, before joining CMP in 2000. She is accredited to provide shared antenatal care and is also an accredited General Practice quality assurance surveyor. Margaret is married and has two children (Melanie 13 yrs and Cameron 16 yrs). She is an avid traveller and is currently enjoying the challenge of learning Spanish. |

DR MAY SU BSc (Med) MB BS (NSW) FRACGP May graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2002 and completed her internship at Shellharbour and Wollongong Hospitals where she subsequently became the Resident Medical Officer, firstly in General Medicine at Shellharbour and then in Cardiology and Gastroenterology at Wollongong. May then moved to The Sydney Children’s Hospital where she was the Paediatric Senior Resident Medical Officer till early in 2006. Since then May has been applying her skills to General Practice firstly in Darlinghurst and then in Dubbo. Married to a GP, May enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Away from work, May enjoys cooking and salsa dancing. |

DR SCOTT SQUIRES MB BS (Hons) (UQ) FRACGP After Graduating in 2001 from The University of Queensland, Scott completed his internship at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Mater Children’s Hospital, and Royal Women’s Hospital in Queensland. In 2004 Scott worked as Medical Officer at Balmoral Naval Hospital at Mosman and in 2005 he was Medical officer on HMAS Kanimbula and ANZAC Field Hospital, Banda Aceh in Indonesia. This was followed by 6 months as Medical Officer on HMAS Newcastle in the Middle East. Since January 2006, Scott has been Medical Officer with HMAS Penguin as well as GP Registrar at a Practice in Burwood, NSW. With up to date emergency skills, Scott is particularly interested in musculoskeletal medicine. Scott is married with two children. |

DR CATHERINE LIU BSc (Med) MB BS (NSW) DRANZCOG
Catherine then traveled overseas and for a year worked in genitourinary medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. Returning to Australia in early 2006, Catherine held the position of Resident Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St George for six months before working in General Practice, first in Haselbrook and then at Kempsey. Catherine has a particular interest in General Practice, women’s health, family planning and sexual health. An outdoor person, Catherine enjoys bushwalking, camping and travel in general. |

DR CAROLINE LAFOREST MB BS (Adel) After graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2002, Caroline worked at the Royal Adelaide Hospital for three years in Surgery, General Medicine and Ophthalmology. In 2006 she moved to Sydney with her husband, working at Royal North Shore Hospital as Obstetrics and Paediatrics resident. Since then, Caroline has worked in General Practice in Byron Bay and in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Caroline enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with a particular interest in Women’s Health, Paediatrics and Skin Cancer Medicine. She is currently studying for a Masters of Medicine in Skin Cancer Management. In her spare time, Caroline loves to play tennis and enjoys swimming, cooking and listening to jazz music. |

We have several doctors who you will see from time to time at the Practice. They do not work full-time, but regularly help us maintain our high levels of patient care during busy times and when our principal doctors are away.

DR MELANIE ANDRONICUS MB BS (Hons) FRACGP Melanie gained her medical degree with honours from the University of Sydney in 1997 and continued her training at Royal North Shore Hospital for two years before joining the RACGP Family Medicine Program. She was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2002. Before joining CMP Melanie gained very broad experience in General Practice on the north coast of NSW. Her special interests include women’s health, paediatrics, adolescent health and geriatrics. Melanie is a registered Fitness Leader with the Australian College of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. She is also a qualified teacher of modern and jazz dance, holds a certificate in Swedish massage and enjoys boxing and yoga. |

DR JASON CHAN MB BS FRACGP Jason obtained his medical degree in 1994 from the University of Western Australia. He continued with his hospital training at Sir Charles Gardener, Hollywood Private, Osbourne Park and Princess Margaret Children’s Hospitals in WA before gaining General Practice experience working at a very busy country practice in Bunbury WA. After completing his GP training, Jason won a place at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney (NIDA). Since then he has been successfully combining his acting career with his General Practice work. Jason is especially interested in paediatrics. |
