Appointments

Consultations are by appointment. As we aim to provide thorough healthcare and also keep waiting times to a minimum, it is helpful to advise the reception team whether you require a standard or extended appointment. New patients are able complete a new patient form prior to the appointment, and either bring the form into the consultation or alternatively email it to reception@cremornemedical.com.au. If you have an emergency, please phone immediately or just come directly to the practice.

Home Visits

Generally we prefer you to come to the Practice so that we have all the right equipment at hand.  If this is not possible, we can make a home visit within our local area.

After Hours Service

As a patient of CMP, you have access to a doctor when the practice is closed. Sydney Medical Service covers our after hours medical care and can be contacted by calling the practice on 9908 2233.

Telephone Calls To Your doctor

Your doctor may not always be available, but will be happy to return your call as soon as possible.  If the matter is urgent, please tell Reception.

Repeat Prescriptions And Referrals

We always recommend a personal visit because we think it is in your best interest, but if you are busy and need a repeat script or a referral, our Reception team will take your request over the telephone and pass it on to the doctor.

Training Doctors

CMP is committed to teaching trainee doctors, and as an accredited teaching practice from time to time we have students spend time with us. We were excited to be awarded the 2009 Sydney University Community Teaching Award. Reception will seek your permission for a medical student to attend your consultation with a doctor.

Medicare Rebates

We offer a service to simplify the collection of your Medicare rebate. You have three choices:
  • Medicare can either deposit the rebate back into your account within 48 hours of your consultation. For this option your bank details need to be lodged with Medicare directly or you can provide them to our reception team and we can lodge them with Medicare for you
  • Medicare can post you a cheque about 3-4 weeks after your consultation
  • You can take your receipt to Medicare to receive an instant rebate

 

   

Fees and Payment Policy

Our current professional fee schedule details the charges for our everyday services and current Medicare rebates, as well as our payment policy.  If you haven’t received a copy, please ask our Reception team.

Personal Health Information

With our up-to-date computer system your medical record can be updated during your visit, so whichever doctor you see your information is at their fingertips. However we take your privacy seriously and strict security protocols are in place throughout the practice to ensure your confidentiality.

Test Results

We will contact you within 10 days of the test being performed. In urgent cases we will telephone you with the test results.

Pathology

For your convenience, Douglas Hanly Moir is located in the Practice. Pathology collection is available Monday to Friday between 8am and 1pm.

Continuing Care Programme

To ensure your peace of mind we send you a Continuing Care reminder when your next appointment is due. This may be for an annual check up, a childhood immunisation, a women's health check, or travel vaccinations if there is a course of more than one. Now you can be certain your health is thoroughly cared for. From time to time we may also send information about new services.  Should you prefer not to receive any of these communications, please tell one of our Reception team.
